aboutus
This is where we talk about us so that people can satisfy their obsession with us... and by "us" I mean "Dan."

Tim Beutel (Tenor) started barbershopping in high school, when he formed a quartet inspired by the Gas House Gang. His quartet was together for several years, but they went their separate ways in college. Beginning at Bradley as an engineering major, Tim soon found that his true passions lay in the music world and graduated with a degree in Music Education in Fall of 2009. He now teaches music at Lettie Brown and Jefferson Elementary Schools in Morton, IL. Tim thanks his parents for his musical upbringing, his professors for furthering his knowledge and training, and Jesus Christ for making everything in his life possible.

Ben Harding (Lead) is a senior Vocal Performance major from Hanna City, IL. At the recommendation of his high school voice teacher, Ben joined After Hours in the fall of 2007, and he has enjoyed every minute of practicing, performing, and hanging out with the rest of the quartet. Ben plans to get a doctorate degree in choral conducting, after which he hopes to teach at the collegiate level. In his spare time, he enjoys arranging music, playing with dogs, drinking french-press tea, collecting classic shaving supplies, and holding freakishly long posts while driving.

Dan Wessler (Bass), a native of Peoria, IL, finished his degree in music education at Bradley University in the fall of 2008. He is currently working as a full-time music teacher at Peoria Central High School in Peoria, IL. Next fall he will pursue a master's degree in choral conducting at Western Illinois University. Since Dan was introduced to the barbershop style, singing with After Hours has become one of his passions. Other interests include symphonic music, the Beatles, and the Monty Python comedy troupe.

Kevin McClelland (Baritone) is a senior majoring in Sports Communication at Bradley University. Although he's originally from Cleveland, Kevin has learned to call Peoria his home through school and extracurricular activities. A singer all his life, Kevin discovered the joy and power of the barbershop sound and style in the spring of 2009, when he joined After Hours. When he's not singing with the quartet, he enjoys meeting new people, reading good books, and playing basketball and volleyball (mainly because those are the sports best suited for tall people). Kevin would like to thank his family for being supportive of his endeavors, even though it means he can't be near them for the time being.
